Me in a nutshell -
Happily married,
a mum to three great teenagers
and two fur babies,
and a soppy romantic
with a camera.
My background is -
After completing a BA Hons in photography,
I was then employed by a leading contemporary portrait studio for nearly a decade
before leaving to set up my own business within the photography world.
Over the years I have been fortunate to photograph 100's of beautiful weddings,
and I truly do feel very humbled and honoured to have such a fab job,
and to share and to capture such significant milestones in peoples lives.
The atmosphere and the energy to your best day ever,
and how I fit in -
The anticipation of the day ahead is where it all starts.
I'll begin with the excitement of bridal preparations in the morning, blending in, chatting and quietly clicking away.
A bottle of something bubbly pops, hips flasks are topped up and handed out, love and laughter full the room,
and finally all of your hopes and dreams and planning have come together.
You get into your dress,
the men put on their jackets,
the butterflies appear, and your truly beautiful day begins.
The excitement continues to build
as your closest family and friends gather for the ceremony.
It's important at this stage that I adapt to the atmosphere and the harmony,
a record of this time, untainted by my photographic influence,
just documented.
The secret looks, the nervous smiles, the vows spoken outload that will last forever.
A flurry of confetti awaits as you walk into a sea of hugs and kisses,
let the celebrations begin...
Passing time so quickly captured
and moments you didn't even know where happening.
Of course, lets not forget at such an exciting time as this,
a handful of key family groups before I steal you away
(for a short amount of time so as to not miss your own wedding)
for a few intimate portraits.
Often my couples say, they don't like having their pictures taken,
and yet this will probably be the only time you'll have on your own all day,
and you might be surprised how much you enjoy it.
Your amazing day has absolutely flown by and there is still so much yet to happened.
You get cheered into your wedding breakfast for the cherished well thought-out speeches.
Followed by the beautiful golden hour. Jackets lost, ties undone, up-hair doo's tumbling down, the perfect setting for unforgettable photographs.
Going into the evening celebrations where the excitement of the first dance leads to
fun and games on the dance floor.
I want to make having your pictures taken a fun and happy experience,
as you celebrate, party, and hold your loved ones closely.
